Tactics used in the JKD Ideology are ennumerated

In the below Ennumeration, Prof. Dr. Rao has listed Tactics in Hand to Hand Combat.
 
There are sample techniques only, and not the ultimate truth.
 
Once you are proficient in various basic techniques of all Ranges,
then You can start developing your Strategies.
 
Try these out as you Drill, shadow, and experiment,
When you finally succeed in any one strategy, the Experience will be
an ultimate reality!
 
These techniques are not to be mistaken as the final truth, but
just guidelines to your journey.

Ld – Lead

Rr – rear

Fr – Front Kick

Sd – Side

Mw – mawashi geri (Hook kick)

Str – Straight punch

Hk – Hk punch

Jk – Jook (Long hook with elbow almost straight resembling a cross)

BF-  Backfist

UC -Uppercut

Inside – angle with ref to opp position

1] SIMPLE DIRECT ATTACK

 

a)        Kicking range

Front palm push to chest– roundhouse kick  face

Side kick knee- backfist temple

Ld slap –Rear (left) roundhouse kick groin

 

 

b)        Punching range

1-     hook

2-     backfist (lead) – rear hook- lead spinning backfist

 

c)         Kali range

Head butt

Eye jab- elbow face

Knee groin- elbow face

Groin slam- down elbow

Slap- chop – slap

 

d)        Wrestling range

              Front tackle- double leg pickup

              Slap - outer sweeping throw

              Ld Carotid grab – rear wrist lock

              Knee bar (if he bends) – knee pickup and throw
